UCLA QB Brett Hundley to visit Arizona Cardinals

Quarterback doesn’t seem to be a need for the Arizona Cardinals, with Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton recuperating from injuries and Logan Thomas and Chandler Harnisch competing for a backup role.
But you never know.
That’s why the Cardinals are bringing in a former Valley high school star in for a pre-draft visit Tuesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

After a sterling career at Chandler High, Hundley went on to star at UCLA, where he completed 837-of-1,239 passes for 9,966 yards and 75 touchdowns in three years as the Bruins’ starter.
Hundley also ran for 1,747 yards and 30 touchdowns during his career during which he compiled a 28-11 record and led UCLA to bowl victories following the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper has Hundley rated as the third-best QB prospect in this year’s class after Florida State’s Jameis Winston and Oregon’s Marcus Mariota.
The NFL Draft will be held in Chicago this year and begins with first-round selections on April 30.
