The 11-year vet sparked Phoenix's second unit, scoring 10 points in the first three and a half minutes of the second quarter, helping the Suns down the Bucks 107-105.
Redd admitted to pre-game jitters during an interview with ESPN Radio's Freddy Coleman.
"I was just nervous, but at the same time anxious to play, and once I got onto the court, I was comfortable about playing," he said.
Milwaukee fans gave Redd a warm ovation after the Bucks organization honored their former All-Star with a video montage during the game's first timeout.
"Emotional, emotional," Redd said about his warm reception at Bradley Center. "It was just an honor, from the fans, from the organization to do that, we spent so much time together over a decade together, and for them to do that was just a tremendous honor and I appreciate them so much for that."
