Earlier this week, Forbes Magazine published their list of
the world's one hundred highest-paid athletes.
Their formula took into account base salary/winnings and endorsements. And using that formula, there was a couple of Phoenix athletes who figured into the list: pro golfer and former ASU Sun Devil Phil Mickelson (who ranked 7th on the list) and Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (who ranked 13th).
Here at Arizona Sports, we've put together our list of the twenty highest-paid athletes in the state (team sports only).
And for our purposes, we've ranked the athletes in terms of base salary for this year only.
Enjoy. Or get mad. We're good with either.
