Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash will be apart of a sign-and-trade deal that will send him to the Los Angeles Lakers and multiple first-round picks and cash to the Suns.

The Suns will receive four draft picks plus cash, reported by Arizona Sports 620's Jon Bloom.

The exact picks the Suns will receive are the 2013 and 2015 first-round picks and the 2013 and 2014 second-round picks.

The amount of cash the Suns will receive is estimated to be about $3 million.

Nash never was serious about the interest from the New York Knicks, Gambadoro said. The Lakers were his first choice. Nash did not want to take Toronto's offer, as he wanted to stay close to his home in Phoenix.

According to Gambadoro, the deal is expected to be finalized Wednesday evening.

    Are these picks going to be used in an attempt to get Eric Gordon from the Hornets? Of all the teams LA? Come on Steve. That's going to be hard to watch.

    This is good.. Very good- multiple first round picks allow for growth and good drafting.. Hopefully Babby steps up... He did good this past draft.. Good deal for the Suns considering they could have gotten nothing...

    No bad contracts and 4 picks, not bad for a 39 year old and a chance for Nash to win it all. I hate lakers but I feel good for Nash and Suns.

    As a Suns fan I want Steve to have a chance to win a title. If Kobe is healthy and Bynum can run the pick and roll they have a great chance. I never want the Lakers to get a title but sure do want Nash to have one. But better than the Heat getting him. Great rebuilding move by the Suns.Solid draft this season and last. Love Morris and Marshall should be solid in a year or 2.

    I don't care what people think of my post, Nash you're a traitor. I now will be rooting for you to retire without a ring. Yeah Suns get something in return, but the Lakers? A division rival? Big kick to the nuts for Suns fans.

    Went from being my favorite suns player of all time to my of my most hated player of all time. I truly hope he does NOT get inducted to the suns ring of honor. Sarver is also an idiot. As long as he owns this team, I will not be a suns fan. With most other teams this trade would great but this franchise does not know how to develop talent, just ruin it! I hope Nash never gets a ring.!!

    This is a great deal. Nash looks like the bad guy and Suns front office looks not only nice, for giving Nash what he wants, but also for getting something in return for Nash leaving. They just got free picks. This FO is doing well so far this off season. Great draft, great trade and they're doing well trying to get younger and rebuilding. I really disliked the FO after all the changes and Sarver messing up signing Warrick and Childress, but Lance is making smart moves. Still have a chip on my shoulder for him trading Dragic but oh well.
