The Phoenix Suns will have a new look next season.

Sort of.

According to Uni-Watch.com, many NBA teams will be adding a jersey for next season, including the Suns.

"I saw the Spring 2013 Adidas NBA Catalog and there are some new on-court offerings," says Chris Blackstone. "There are new jerseys for Christmas Day and for home weekend games during the second half of season, called the Winter Court jerseys. They're monochrome like the all- black Miami uniforms from the past couple years, but in team colors. Also, there are Hardwood Classic jerseys for Indiana (home from 1997-98 through 2004-05), Milwaukee (late '90s), Chicago (mid-'90s alternate), Atlanta (late-'90s road), Miami (late-'90s alternate), Sacramento (mid-'90s alternate), Phoenix (1990s alternate), Philly (early-'90s road), Cleveland (mid-'90s road), Toronto (late-'90ss home), Houston (late-'90s road), and Utah (late-'90s road)."

Nice.

The jersey, which debuted in the mid-90s and was worn until the team changed its look in 2000, is black with the "sun burst" across the chest.

It is unknown how many times the Suns will don the black jerseys and in which games they will do so, but the important thing is they will wear them.

    Due for a complete refresh...
I like the alternate jerseys, but I think the Suns are due for a total refresh. A new era of Suns basketball is beginning, so new uniforms would be appropriate.

    One problem...
I say this picture should be edited and replaced with the #34 instead of #13... Still, I like the idea of going back to one of our more classic looks.

    Another Problem
Until they start getting some players of the KJ, Thunder Dan, Chambers and Barkley caliber, who cares. The Suns have been unwatchable the past 2 years and I don't see throwback unis helping that any time soon.

    Is it me?
...or have the Suns changed their uniforms and logo more than any other NBA team in recent memory? I have 5 different logos on pennants hanging in my office as I type this.

I was going to say the opposite. From my memory, I only recall 4 logos since the team was formed, and one is just a sharpening of an existing idea. Even jerseys, I think they have had a few different variations of the same thing (including alternates), but other than that they really havent changed much.

    Yeah Baby!!
I have been hoping for this since 2000!! I hope they do it at every home game. I would really love to see the 80's jerseys but i am completely fine with these ones. I'm so stoked for this!

    Umm...
I understand some people may like this "retro" look, but we were told this team would make a change in the look of the Suns for the future. This is the new look for the future?! Apparently the front office doesn't feel the need to push for a new look because they want to hype the new era when the team can fill the seats again, which may not be for another few years. Looks like an armpit exploded.

This is by far the best suns jersey, for me personally. I got into NBA basketball in the 90's this jersey takes me back. I love it. Looking forward to seeing it on the court.

    Go even more retro
I wish they'd go back to the look they had in the '70s and '80s (sans the short shorts). The Suns are one of the oldest and most prestigious NBA franchises, and I think they need to embrace their history and origins a little more. The original logo is classic. Bring it back.

    Loving it
I'm glad they're bringing back the 90's jerseys for a couple games, which they haven't done yet since the new jerseys were introduced in the 2000-2001 season. For those wanting older throwbacks from the 70's and 80's, they already did that, where were you? In '04-'05, they brought back the jerseys they wore from '68-'75, then in '05-'06 they brought back the style from '75-'92.
