The late-season push was key for bringing back shooting guard Shannon Brown, who officially re-signed with the team Wednesday.
"I saw some good things at the end of last season that I think we can capitalize on as a team, and for myself as an individual," Brown told Arizona Sports 620's Doug and Wolf Wednesday.
Brown averaged a career-high 11 points with the Suns last season, and in 19 games as a starter averaged 15.8 points and 3.7 rebounds, shooting .406 from three-point range.

"It just felt good, it felt like the right move to make," Brown said. "Everyone seemed like they wanted me here and I wanted to come back."
As of now Brown is one of just six players to return to the Suns for the 2012 season, and believes that the new roster is full of players who have the potential to have another successful underdog season.
"I think if we come together, like I know we can, we're going to surprise a lot of people," Brown said. "We're going to open a lot of eyes."
