The team announced Friday it has hired Steve Albert as the new play-by-play announcer.
Albert will call the action on all Fox Sports Arizona Suns broadcasts.
"We are excited to attract someone with Steve's broadcasting skills, versatility and experience to our organization," said Suns President, Jason Rowley. "Steve's dynamic personality will be a great addition to our broadcast team. His arrival comes at an ideal time, as our team on the court also transitions into a new and exciting era of Suns basketball."
Albert is best known for his work in the boxing arena, as well as for having done play-by-play for the New York Mets, New York Jets, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils.
Albert is replacing longtime Suns broadcaster Tom Leander, who had been the team's TV voice the last nine seasons.
