The Phoenix Suns continued their roster construction Wednesday, announcing they have come to terms with forward P.J. Tucker.

The 6'6", 224-pounder joins the Suns after spending the last five seasons playing international ball in some of the top leagues worldwide.

Tucker was a member of the Suns' 2012 Las Vegas Summer League and General Manager Lance Blanks had nothing but praise for Tucker's attitude and performance.

"In Las Vegas this summer [Tucker] impressed our entire front office and coaching staff with his approach to the game, both on and off the court," Blanks said.

Tucker averaged 5.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in 21.6 minutes while appearing in five games in Summer League play.

The University of Texas product was drafted with the 35th overall selection in the 2006 NBA draft by Toronto. He played 17 career games in the NBA, all as a member of the Raptors.

This past season, Tucker averaged 16.2 points and 7.1 rebounds in 44 games in Germany. He was also named the MVP of the German League Finals.

    Thank God Nash left. As much as I hate the Lakers, watching him spend the last years of his HOF career as a member of a this sinking ship would've been even more painful to watch.

    Dude get with it. We traded him because we're rebuilding. If we had kept him, we wouldn't be rebuilding. Please tell me you have enough mental capacity to understand that. Don't you understand we have to be bad to be good again? Wow.

    The front office isn't trying to dazzle anyone with this signing. It's not like they're saying P.J. Tucker is the next Shawn Marion or Amar'e Stoudemire. They signed him to fill a void for cheap. Speaking of which, I'm surprised they haven't signed a back up center yet.

    Absolutely agree. The number of Sarver asskissers on this board is nauseating. This franchise has turned into a joke.

    "Have to be bad to be good again." Right. And I think this franchise will be bad for a long time. That period could've been mitigated with better decisions by the ownership, including not running Kerr out of town. Instead they are left with late 1st round picks, that will probably end up non factors. More importantly, since Sarver's arrival, this franchise has slowly lost the luster that made free agents want to play here. I don't find that type of future acceptable. But you enjoy Tucker and Wesley Johnson and whatever other player this team signs from Europe. Wow. Get with it. LOL.

    You mean this kid isn't going to put us over the top!? Wow. I understand that there is reason for concern the current ownership/managment. They haven't proven anything. But Kerr? Really? The guy who thought it was a great idea to take a running team and add Shaq? We were not winning a championship within Nash's playing window, even if he plays to 43! He was all we had left, so we might as well start over. Barkley signings are once a generation, so I think we can forgive Tucker if he falls a bit short of that.

    We didn't get to the playoffs with Nash the last two seasons. What makes you think that keeping him around would have made things any different? It was time for a change. If you don't like it, jump on the Lakers band wagon and shut up!!!!!

    I still can't understand why so many people on here have faith in Sarver. The guy has done nothing but make bad decision after decision since he purchased them in 04. As Suns fans, we were so spoiled with the Colangelos running this franchise. PRH-Honestly, I cant see the Suns being a relevant team for 4 or maybe 5 years either. It is really just such a shame. 10 years ago no one would've ever thought Michael Bidwill would be the best owner in town. The funny thing is, it isn't even close.

    Who did we get? Lol We need to focus on a back up center, greg odon says he wants to come back and we have the medical staff to keep him healthy. Idk, ur responses?
