The Phoenix Suns continued their roster construction Wednesday, announcing they have come to terms with forward P.J. Tucker.

The 6'6", 224-pounder joins the Suns after spending the last five seasons playing international ball in some of the top leagues worldwide.

Tucker was a member of the Suns' 2012 Las Vegas Summer League and General Manager Lance Blanks had nothing but praise for Tucker's attitude and performance.

"In Las Vegas this summer [Tucker] impressed our entire front office and coaching staff with his approach to the game, both on and off the court," Blanks said.

Tucker averaged 5.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in 21.6 minutes while appearing in five games in Summer League play.

The University of Texas product was drafted with the 35th overall selection in the 2006 NBA draft by Toronto. He played 17 career games in the NBA, all as a member of the Raptors.

This past season, Tucker averaged 16.2 points and 7.1 rebounds in 44 games in Germany. He was also named the MVP of the German League Finals.

Before Sarver, Colangelo was the fall guy
I've been a Suns fan long enough to remember being mad at both Jerry and Brian Colangelo for making bone head moves, just like Sarver has. But you know what? The problem with this franchise doesn't rest on just the owner, and I have a bigger problem with this fickle-band-wagon fanbase more than anything. None of it will stop me from supporting my team and being optimistic about our future, though.

    Tucker
The Tucker signing isn't intended to impress anyone- it's simply roster filler. All teams have those type of guys, certain posters need to quit pretending like this is a new concept. I don't like Sarver, but I appreciate that he's trying to right his wrongs, and the FO is backing up their words with their actions.

Is worth the risk as a back-up center, but it only for a one-year deal.

Time is burning and still no Center
Why are we not talking to Orlando or mentioned in the media as talking trades & contracts(4Howard or a committment to sign in Phx??) We have a Gortat that they ovbiously made a mistake on, many other interesting yng assets and more mature interesting assets as well. We also have a lot of 1st rd.ers as well. If not Howard I would be intrigued to get Daniel Orton from Orlando as he is super yng, strong, very long arms, shotblocker and defensively sound. I like him more than every1 else currently available at the Center spot.

    No to Howard
Howard has skills, but A)He doesn't want to play in Phoenix B) If the Suns could persuade him to sign a new deal here, that contract would strap the Suns for years to come C) Which might be worth it, except he has back problems and D) He'll destroy the locker room and hold a team hostage if he doesn't get his way.

We dont need another mid 6' player, we need size. Sign Daniel Orton, at least he is young and wants to prove himself.
