listen Listen: Robert Sarver, owner of the Phoenix Suns
Burns & Gambo did not go easy on the owner of the Phoenix Suns. Sarver was asked (and he answered) all the burning questions surrounding the controversial hiring & firing at the head coach position.

The Phoenix Suns are 13-28 at the midway point in the season. They're residing in the Western Conference's basement, and are much closer to being the worst team in basketball than a playoff team.

Their attendance is down for the third consecutive year, and with what's happened around the team lately, there would seem to be a bit of a negative attitude towards the Valley's original professional sports team.

Not so, says Suns owner Robert Sarver.

"I would disagree with that," Sarver told Arizona Sports 620's Burns and Gambo when asked about an upset fan base. "I would say that we monitor all of the information that comes in from our ticket holders and our fans, and I would disagree with that."

Sarver said the idea that Suns fans are upset is "a good story" for the media, and is just one of many non-factual stories that have surfaced with regards to the team.

But, he added, he understands tough decisions during tough times will rub fans the wrong way.

"This is a tough time for a franchise," he said. "When we're not winning and we're not playing well fans are upset, and that all comes with it.

"What I would say to the fans is we're working every day to try to get our team back to elite status."

    I'm generally a Suns apologist...
but this just proves the delusion of the current group. To say that fans aren't disappointed and disgusted with this franchise is nauseating. It doesn't take a PhD in Statistics to look at an arena and see that fewer people are there. The firing of Alvin, the promotion of Hunter, the Blanks vs. O'neal fight, all of these things are concerning, but the group not thinking the fans are upset is the single most disturbing thing I've seen/heard from this group thus far.

    The big three
We have our own version of the "Big Three" but its nothing like Miami. Our big three are Incompetent, Out-of-Touch, and Arrogant. I hope the whole valley sees the three "gems" we have running our franchise and the direcetion it is going- into the ground. Hell, maybe they are taking advice from the KFC commerical and thinking "little". I don't know, but what I am certain of is that I have no confidence in the "The Big Three" going forward.

Jabs Just Keep Comin 2 Suns Fans
After all that talk on air yestrerday regarding the disarray and stumble of the phoenix suns franchise word gets to Sarver and sure enough he calls in and has answers for everything. Look as long as that guy is the owner of this franchise they will never compete. He inhertited some amazing players and rode the wave while it lasted. Lets not be mistaken this is all the Calangelo's fault selling this team to a Businessman who had no idea what he was getting into and Baby Calangelo bolting for the Raptors who still havnt made the playoffs since he got there

    Nobody could be that stupid
He knows we hate him. He said that he doesn't think we're pissed simply to further enrage us. He wants us to hate him and stop supporting the Suns so he can move the team. He's gonna do it, guys. San Diego Suns in 2016.

If sarver doesn't think the fan base isn't upset, then he must be looking thru rose clored glasses. He must also be using a listening devise that only allows him to hear non-negative statements. He must not hear us then. What A Jerk

    Rose Colored Glasses
They certainly seem wonderful. It reminds me of a story I read about the Syrian dictator's wife shopoping for diamonds while the city is burning and acts like nothing is going on. If Sarver wants to move the team, he'd better try this summer because David Stern HATES the Suns and wouldn't care if they moved. This is such an unbelievably stupid view of things. Everyone with a ticket to Dan Majerle Fat Head game (which it's safe to say isn't happening now), don't go. Don't even turn on the television.
