Dragic, Bledsoe lead Phoenix Suns past Pacers: By the Numbers

Many Phoenix Suns fans have been waiting for guard Goran Dragic to take over a game. The wait is over.
Dragic scored a whopping 34 points en route to the Suns halting their two-game losing streak with a 116-99 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Eric Bledsoe did not want Dragic to be the only guard to join in on the fun, as he scored 27 points himself in Phoenix’s dominate backcourt performance on Tuesday. Gerald Green added 15 points of his own for good measure as well.
The Suns have struggled against teams below them in the standings lately, and did so again at times against Indiana. Phoenix let a few double-digit leads in the first three quarters go down the drain, as the Pacers went on large runs to take the lead.
In the end, the Suns pulled away with a strong fourth quarter performance, outscoring Indiana 30-18, to earn their 11th win of the season and first since Thanksgiving.

Alex Len put up a goose egg in 15:05 off the bench. He attempted only two shots and was the only Suns player to fail to score with more than a minute of floor time. It was his third consecutive game without a point.

Eric Bledsoe established a new season high in steals with four. The guard now has 22 steals this season and at least one steal in four of his last five games.

The Suns have swept the Pacers for the second season in a row with their victory on Tuesday. Phoenix defeated Indiana in both games this season to extended its winning streak to four games over the team from the Hoosier State.

Dragic scored a whopping 22 points in the first half — a season high for The Dragon. His 34 points for the game were a season-high as well.

Indiana’s starters combined to score just 42 points, just eight fewer than Dragic scored all by himself. Roy Hibbert led all Pacers starters with 15 points.

Dragic and Bledsoe were on fire Tuesday night. The duo shot 22-for-35 from the field, nailed six 3s and 11 free throws en route to scoring 61 combined points.

The usually solid Suns struggled from the charity stripe, hitting just 69 percent of their free throws (18-for-26). Miles Plumlee really struggled, going 2-for-6 from the line.
