The Phoenix Suns traded Goran Dragic to the Miami Heat Thursday.

Dragic signed with the Suns in July of 2012 as a free agent, even though the team had previously shipped him out of Phoenix in 2011 to the Houston Rockets. Dragic agreed to sign with Phoenix the same day the Suns reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers to send Steve Nash away. Dragic played under Nash in his first tenure with the team.

Dragic put up career-best numbers last season when he won the NBA Most Improved Player of the Year award and earned third-team All-NBA honors. His numbers dropped a little this season, in part because of shared playing time with two other point guards in Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas.

Here’s Dragic’s second stint with the Suns, by the numbers:

17

Dragic is averaging just over 17 points per game in three seasons since he signed as a free agent. His career-high average was last year when he had 20.3 PPG. The most he had averaged in a season before joining the Suns again was 11.7 PPG with the Houston Rockets in the 2011-12 season. He led the Suns in scoring the previous two seasons, but Eric Bledsoe is leading the team this year.

5.8

Dragic averaged 5.8 assists per game over the last three seasons with the Suns. His best average in that time frame was 7.4 assists per game in 2012-13. Before his second stint with the team, he averaged 3.3 APG.

20-3-5

He finished last season averaging 20.3 PPG, 3.2 RPG and 5.9 APG. There were only six other players last season to average 20 points, three rebounds and five assists per game. They were Kevin Durant, LeBron James, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard.

50/40

Dragic was the only player in the 2013-14 season to shoot 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from the three-point line among players who took enough shots to qualify.

1

A November 10, 2013 matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans was the only game that Dragic appeared in but did not start. He played in 205 out of the Suns’ 218 games.

34

In his 205 games, Dragic played 34 minutes per game. In his four years before joining the Suns for a second time, he averaged 18.8 minutes per game.

.468

The Suns’ winning percentage for the last three seasons is .468. In the games Dragic appeared in, the team won .483 of its games.

28

Dragic had 28 double-doubles in his second stint on the team. Twenty-six of those were points-assists, while the other two were points-rebounds.

40

His career-high 40 points came against the Pelicans on February 28, 2014. He shot 14-of-21 (66.7 percent) from the field and 9-of-11 from the free throw line.
