Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Stephen Drew started his
first game for the AAA Reno Aces Thursday, his first
playing time since breaking an ankle last July.
Drew batted in the three-hole and went 1-for-4 in his Reno debut, which the Aces won over the Tucson Padres 4-2 in 12 innings.
The shortstop singled to right in his first at-bat, but also flew out to center twice and reached on an error.
Drew can only be on rehab assignment for 20 days unless both he and the team agree to extend the stay.
You can watch video of Drew taking batting practice before his first game below.
