Voting for the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City has started, but apparently very few people attending games at Chase Field this season have received the memo.

Major League Baseball released updated National League voting Tuesday, and not one Diamondbacks player appears among the leaders at any position. The league lists the top five vote-getters at each infield position and catcher and lists the top 15 in the outfield.

Interestingly, only the Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres and the National League East-leading Washington Nationals are the only senior circuit squads that don't have any players among the leaders.

    All Star Balloting
It has always been necessary to "nudge" Dbax fans to voting for their team, unfortunately. Paul Goldschmidt is making a strong case to be included and I wrote in Willie Bloomquist for SS. Let's go Dbax fans!!!

Is there a player that deserves to go?
I would have said Chris Young in the first month of the season but his play has been terrible since he returned from the DL. There's not a player on our roster that deserves to go.

    No deserving d-backs
As others have said, only Miley deserves consideration and we can't vote for him. A few d-backs probably deserve to be in the top 5, like I'd have miggy ranked above McCann, but we don't vote for who should be in the top 5, we vote for who should be representing our league in the all star game and none of our position players are the best at their position. I do find it kind of sad that we paid Miggy all that money, though, and he's not even in the top 5. Again, I think he should be, but it makes you wonder if we actually couldn't have gotten him cheaper if we let him test the waters first.
