Diamondbacks play-by-play man Daron Sutton was not in the
booth Friday night for the team's series opener against the
Cubs, and there are reports on AZCentral.com saying that
he's been suspended by the team.
"We've made an adjustment to the broadcast talent lineup and Daron is going to be taking some time off," said Josh Rawitch, SR Vice President of Communications for the team.
Sutton has been the team's television voice since the 2007 season, and he will be replaced in the booth by longtime radio voice Greg Schulte, while Jeff Munn will fill in on the radio side.
On Saturday, Rawitch said Sutton will not accompany the team on its upcoming road trip and there's no timetable for his return.
