It's been an arduous season for Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton. But on Friday night, the D-backs' slugger broke out of his recent funk.

Upton snapped a 3-for-19 slump with a clutch two-run triple down the left-field line to highlight a five-run sixth inning for D-backs in their 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The D-backs' slumping right fielder has been the subject of boos from fans of late, but with one potent stroke of the bat Friday, he managed to silence his critics while eliciting cheers once again from the hometown faithful.

The D-backs ended a six-game losing streak with their win over the first-place Dodgers.
