Justin Upton does not want to be traded from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The right fielder, who entered the season as an MVP candidate and has entered the All-Star break as a disappointment, is hitting .273 and has just seven home runs and 37 RBI.

His struggles have led D-backs fans to boo the 24-year-old, and now reports are the team is willing to trade the guy who used to be the franchise's cornerstone.

According to Arizona Sports 620's John Gambadoro, that's not something the former top overall pick is hoping for.

While some D-backs fans have voiced their displeasure over Upton's performance this year, the majority seem to be against the idea of a trade.

And, it seems, they are not alone.

he doesn't want to be traded and we'd be stupid to trade him. people just need to chill and STOP boo'ing him. Just like Phoenix to alienate one of our best talents.

    No trade
I agree with grimmy. The AZ fans need to support our young star players. Booing him and yelling racial slurs will accomplish nothing but make them look like complete idiots. J-Up needs to stay a D back. All the fans that are booing will be the one ripping the Dbacks if they trade him and he lights it up for the next 10 years.

    I agree
Booing is senseless; only thing negative with Upton is at times his lack of hustle. Blowing bubbles, etc. No Big Deal BUT hustle is a must as it would help his defensive skills; Hopefully getting picked Off 1B & taking way to many Called K's, Justin can improve on; We need Justion to be a solid Core Player for us to advance to the Big Show. I agree, let's give him all the support he needs

    J-UP
I would rather see us trade CY although I know his value is low right now. I know he and J-UP are close and it might be good for both of them.
