Wade Miley is taking in everything the All-Star Game has to offer.

The 25-year-old arrived in Kansas City with a 9-5 record and 3.04 ERA, but will leave with quite a few memories.

"I'm lockermates with [Clayton] Kershaw and Cole Hamels is right there," Miley told Arizona Sports 620's Doug and Wolf Tuesday. "I just have to jump in their pocket and just start picking their brain a little bit."

Miley said when the season picks back up the competition will resume, but the last couple of days have been about simply having fun.

"We're going to try and win a game [Tuesday night], but it's been a blast getting to know some of these guys."

One of those guys, not surprisingly, is Braves legend Chipper Jones. The veteran, who plans to retire following this season, has left an impression on the D-backs lefty.

Wade took a quick time out to tell us about his All Star experiences in Kansas City thus far.
"The way he carries himself, the way he plays the game," Miley said. "It's amazing to watch him go about his business.

"I've been trying to watch everything he does, it's just been great being around him."

While Miley was not expected to have a season like the one he's having, there's little denying he has good enough stuff to ensure this is not the last time he'll be at the Midsummer Classic.

But whether he makes it back or not, he'll always have 2012.
