The Phoenix Coyotes foundation in Arizona appears to be crumbling, and you better believe there are other cities ready to pick up the pieces.

One such place, according to Forbes writer Mike Ozanian, is Seattle.

In a piece written Thursday, Ozanian speculates that Seattle -- which appears set to take the NBA's Sacramento Kings -- would be a great fit for Phoenix's hockey team.

Look for the team to move to Seattle if the sale of the Sacramento Kings to hedge fund manager Chris Hansen and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is finalized. The NBA team's prospective new owners want to move the Kings to Seattle where they plan on opening a new arena in two years. Two teams in one building is better economics.

Two teams in one building might be better economics, unless the arena is built for basketball and leaves a couple sections of fans unable to see one of the goals.

At any rate, the point is the Coyotes have been in limbo for the better part of the last few years, and an end to their ownership saga may be in sight.

Unfortunately, it may not be the one Valley fans were hoping for.

"Two teams in one building is better economics." Somebody forgot to tell the Coyotes that when they moved to Glendale.

    Fans DESERVE????
You are not entitled to the product of someone else's labor, even if you support that product. If you buy a ticket, you get a game. The team, the city and potential investors owe the "fans" nothing other than whatever product or service they have contracted. Hockey in Glendale is untenable at this point. It is not a tragedy. It is yet another adjustment to the excessive and inefficient demands of entitled citizens that continue to blame society's most successful entities for the emptiness of their own lives.

Los Arcos ring a bell?! This would never have been an issue if Ellman would have gotten the deal done @ Los Arcos! That mofo!

    Should've
never moved that far to the west. For the casual fans that live in the east valley or central Phoenix, it's a haul to get there to say nothing of the traffic. I know there are nay sayers that will argue the Cardinals are still selling out (for now) but that's once a week - on a Sunday 99% of the time. You're asking that people drive all the way out there two times during the week and drive all the way home. It wasn't popular enough to move into their own arena and if they were, then who ever wanted their own arena, should have kept it centerally located.

    Los Arcos
In thinking back on that Los Arcos situation, wasn't that totally opposed by the residents in the area and that's what doomed it? They didn't want the large facility and the traffic associated with 17,000 people attending games in the evenings. Maybe Elman could have overcome that, I don't know, but when Glendale came calling with cheap land and tax money, Elman bit on it, leaving Los Arcos in the demolition dust.

They can end up in a lot of places
It's all speculation..Seattle, Quebec City, Hamilton ,Markham (maybe not there right away for they are just building their arena and their city council only let it pass by 7 to 6) So, EVERY city council objects to this kind of tax and expenditure as you would expect! Seattle is going to ask the public to forkover 420 million? through taxes for the arena and I heard the arena owner dosen't even want a hockey team... Losing ANY professional organization is a shame on a good city.
