While it looked tenuous at times, the Arizona State Sun Devils were able to right the ship and handily beat the New Mexico Lobos 58-23 last Saturday in Albuquerque.

As a result, Todd Graham’s team has moved up in both polls following Week 2.

The Sun Devils climbed one spot in the AP Poll to no. 16 and elevated two spots in the Amway Coaches’ Poll to no. 14.

It’s the second-highest showing in the Coaches’ Poll for ASU under Graham. The Devils reached no. 13 in the rankings following last season’s 58-21 win over Arizona in the annual Territorial Cup game.

Arizona State will open up conference play Saturday night in Boulder against the Colorado Buffaloes (1-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on ESPN Phoenix 620 AM with pregame coverage starting at 5:00 p.m.
