Arizona State will send four players to the 2015 NFL Combine

The state of Arizona will send four players to the NFL combine this year, and they’re all from Arizona State.

Offensive guard Jamil Douglas, defensive end Marcus Hardison, free safety Damarious Randall and, of course, wide recevier Jaelen Strong will all showcase their NFL potential from Feb. 17-23 alongside 296 other participants and in front of dozens of scouts. The event will also be televised on NFL Network.

NFL.com ranks all combine participants on a multitude of variables, which can be seen below:

NFL.com's analysis describes Damarious Randall as a "plus athlete with good speed." They also note his 177 tackles in two years at ASU, and call him an "instinctive blitzer who times snap and has a nose for the quarterback." Though they say he's a bit undersized at 5-foot-11, they do say some teams have him projected as a corner and his competitiveness on 50/50 throws is big in his favor.

At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Marcus Hardison became one of the most feared pass-rushers on ASU's defensive squad. His relatively quiet start as a Sun Devil made him a pleasantly surprising contributor to the blitz attack, and by the time he finished his senior campaign he led the team with 10 sacks and 15 tackles-for-loss. How under-the-radar is he currently? NFL.com doesn't even have their analysis of him posted quite yet.

At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Jamil Douglas' quickness despite his size is noted by NFL.com's combine analysis as well as his "bend and hips to win leverage battle early in the snap." Yet Douglas must "convert weight-room strength to play strength" and "his play demeanor will have to ramp up in order to make it as an NFL guard."

A fan favorite among ASU supporters, 6-foot-3, 215-pound Jaelen Strong is the highest-rated Sun Devil combine invitee. NFL.com's analysis says his ability to "track the ball well" and ability to "keep defenders on his hip" give him an edge, but he's "still raw" and is a "long strider who takes awhile to build up speed." Overall, however, "scouts really love the entirety of his game and where it is headed."
