They waited, and waited, and waited some more.

After skipping a morning press conference from where he was supposed to make a decision, Scottsdale Chaparral star Davonte' Neal finally announced that he would be attending Notre Dame next season.

Neal was said to be considering Arizona, as well, along with Arkansas and North Carolina.

The highly-rated recruit would have been a good get for Rich Rodriguez in Tucson, as the versatile athlete who starred at cornerback, receiver and running back in high school would have been the type of player a coach could build around at a new school.

However, reports surfaced that Davonte's dad Luke preferred Notre Dame, and ultimately that's where the player ended up.

    NO SURPRISE
this kids dad helped create this embarassment. DaVonte is a really good kid, one of the best I've ever met. His dad on the other hand lives vicariously through his son and needs to get a life. I'm glad he chose Notre Dame instead of UofA. Chap's head coach, Ragle just moved to UofA and you think that was a coincidence?

    part 2
Please. I hope the staff cans him now that he couldn't convince DaVonte to attend. My hopes is that Ragle burns out before his next season is even over with. He deserves it for his politics he played for his own gain with our high school boys. Since he cant manipulate the schedule and he will have play teams that actually can compete, his true pathetic colors will be discovered. I hope that I can see it with my own eyes and I am pleased DaVonte decided to follow what he wanted on not that tool, Ragle. Way to go DaVonte.
