The Arizona Wildcats’ depth at wide receiver is about to be tested, as the team will be without Nate Phillips for the rest of the season due to a broken foot.

Phillips suffered the injury in Saturday’s 38-20 win over Colorado, a game he left after catching just one pass for five yards.

Phillips, a sophomore from Chandler, Ariz., led Arizona last season with 51 catches for 696 yards and seven touchdowns.

However, the return to health of Austin Hill, along with the emergence of Samajie Grant and transfers Cayleb Jones and DaVonte’ Neal being eligible to play left him a bit buried on the depth chart. Though he is fourth on the team with 25 catches for 272 yards, Phillips caught a total of five passes for 53 yards and one touchdown over the team’s last four games.

Arizona’s next game is Saturday at home against the Washington Huskies, with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m.
