If you didn’t already know about Nick Wilson, you’ll sure remember his name now.
The freshman running back ran for three scores and 178 yards on 24 carries in the Arizona Wildcats’ 42-35 victory over Arizona State Friday.
He was named the 2014 Territorial Cup Bob Moran MVP after the game for his performance, which tied his career high for touchdowns and was his second-best rushing performance of the year (Utah, 218 yards).
The numbers were solid enough, but the reason he’ll be remembered in the offseason was his 72-yard weaving touchdown run during which he shook off a few Arizona State defenders and then turned on the afterburners for the score.
