As fun and exciting as Sunday's game at University of Phoenix Stadium was the Cardinals go into this week of practice with several questions.

How will they react with a short week of practice?

Can they address their secondary issues in time to face a potent New Orleans offense?

Will Anquan Boldin be able to return from knee and ankle injuries?

Has Neil Rackers lost his confidence after missing an easy 34-yard field goal at the end of regulation?

But to me the biggest question is simple - Can the Cardinals rebound in a short week from a physically and emotionally draining game?

It is the playoffs so you expect the Cardinals to be ready. They are well coached so you expect them to be prepared. But I can imagine it wasn't easy getting out of bed this morning if you played in that game Sunday. The Cards are already a 7-point underdog in the game. New Orleans is well rested, they are at home and despite losing their last three games of the season they will have the advantage. Arizona is spent and you can understand why. That game was hard, extremely hard.

What makes you think the Cardinals will have a chance is that New Orleans pass defense is awful - they ranked 25th in the NFL in total yards. The Cardinals played well on the road going 6-2 this season, the second best mark in the NFC. And it's not like New Orleans likes the way they are playing right now. But I'm sure they are licking their chops watching film of the Cardinals secondary and their inability to defend a pass.

And if the Cardinals can recover from the Packer game we can expect more fireworks next week. As Cardinals wide receiver Early Doucet told us on the show today, "It's the playoffs so you have to find that edge to get motivated and if you can't then you don't need to be in the NFL."

    hopefully they can learn....
...how to get away with another facemask penalty on the last play of the game. The Crudinals didn't win, they got a gift from a few blind refs!

Exactly what your post is worth...
I literally laughed out loud reading your whine about "getting away with another facemask penalty." The other poster is exactly right; Adams' hand on Rogers' mask may have been a 5 yard unintentional flag a few years ago, but it did not come close to warrant a 15 yard penalty under the current rules. Lame excuse a far reach from a loser Packer fan.

if only one would research before posting.
my2cents should check the NFL rules - if they would have researched, they would realize a face mask is intentionally jerking the helmet and results in 15 yards - major penalty... they got rid of the 5 yd unintentional facemask since they were playing football not pansy-pants and unintentional things shouldn't be penalized... it was a great play that resulted in a fumble recovery for a win... i hope you don't vote in political elections, based on your blind faith, i would assume you are a liberal progressive but that would just be my2cents...

    blind faith?...how about just blind?
If you couldn't see the hand go in the helmet and his head turn, then I think you should have your vision checked. Geez, I can't believe I'm debating with a Crudinal fan who will be denying he ever cheered for them in a couple of years. Weak division, bandwagon fans, A.K.A. NFC West.

Game is decided on a all of the plays - not one.
Stop making excuses. I'm sure you've watched games enough to know bad calls are made. The question to ask is why GB defense didn't show? Why did the offense lose 2 turnovers in the 1st qtr? Sounds like they needed better coaching...or maybe Cardinals are just the better team and deserve to move on. Bottom line, the analyst were wrong, the game was played and the better team deservedly is moving on. While a very good but over confident team in GB just unfortunately met an equally talented team that was better prepared and coached.

Last year the Cardinals were in uncharted territory - but they bounced back after each big win in the playoffs and put up another great performance the following week. I don't see why we should expect anything different this year.

The Saints present the same problems that the packers did when it comes to the passing game - lots of tall, athletic receivers. Hopefully Antrel Rolle is feeling better this week. That will let us move Brown back into the slot and take little Mr. Adams out of the lineup. I would rather see Rashad Johnson or Greg Toller in the lineup when the saints go to their 4 WR set. (they may make mistakes in coverage, but atleast they are tall enough to contest passes).

Having said that, the secondary can't play much worse than they did last week, and GreenBay was better on defense than the Saints this year. There is no reason to expect that we wont put points up on the board again in the big easy.

Balance is the key to the game. Quick strikes on offense are great when the other team is off balance. If their offense is clicking, quick strikes dont give our defense the time to rest. Get the running game going - let's see 25 carries between beanie and hightower this week - that will keep drew brees off the field and give out defense a chance to recover between drives. Whiz has shown in his three years here that he is a great coach - the cards always come out to play. Give this man a contract extension - as much as he wants for as long as he wants.

    Michael Adams
I feel that Michael Adam's performance throughout the entire year has been, not only sub par, but horrendous. Isn't there anyone else to fill his position? Nearly every penalty that the Cards receive on defense, it is the result of his poor or even low-down performance. Now in the play-offs, the Cardinals cannot afford any of Adam's routine mistakes. Single handedly, he almost lost us the game against Green Bay!
