I recall an interview with director Quentin Tarantino, who listed his 25 favorite movies since he became a director.

The Matrix rightfully made the list, but he almost kept it off. His reasoning was that the two sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, were so horrible that they minimized the greatness of the original.

What does this have to do with anything? It has to do with Kevin Kolb.

I had a hard time seeing his performance vs. the Dolphins without looking at it through the lens of that dreadful pick. Every great play he made was followed by a "yeah, but..." It was distorting my entire view.

It was my own Tarantino moment, and it was a mistake.

For as much grief as I gave him for the pick, he deserves an equal amount of praise for the recovery. Given all the circumstances surrounding it, the touchdown throw on 4th and 10 was a thing of beauty. On that same drive, he was staring cold at a 3rd and 18, yet managed to convert a first down after two pass plays. Big picture; Kolb's avoidance of the big mistake is a big reason for the 4-0 start.

It was a potentially fatal blow, and he can't hope to get away with a similar type gaffe in the future. But he was able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again and that demands far more credit than he was given by me.

"But he was able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again..." Gave me a laugh with that one....Credit is due, where credit is deserved, whether it be SOME or all; Kolb, Fitz, DWash, Roberts, PP, Dock, Rhodes, ADub, Skelton, don't matter. Cards may win ugly at times, but they do it as a TEAM. Speaking of credit; Cards are 4-0, but "should Tebow start over Sanchez" is more important I guess...

    Thank you
I appreciate your humility here. You were all over him for his one, admittedly terrible, mistake. Good QB's make mistakes, and sometimes they make HUGE mistakes. Brett Favre has a library full of horrendous passes. Kurt Warner's INT to James Harrison in the Superbowl was an awful throw. Respected football people like Peter King, Wolf, and Whiz were all praising him today for a reason. He showed a lot of guts the way he came back after that awful interception. His poor preseason showing is in the past, and those games never really mattered anyways.

Come sit on the "Cardinals" bandwagon Burnsy
My name is FitzIsMyHero and I'm a Skeltonholic. HI FITZ! I used to struggle with the same issue a lot of ppl struggle with today. I was drinking a lot. A lot of Skelton Light. I was down in my dispair when he went down and Kolb had to fill in. Then I was the worst I ever been. I started to rebel. I was missing the whole picture! This whole thing isnt just about my glass of Skelton Light. This is about us. I had to put my family ahead of myself. So I stopped drinking Skelton Light. I have been clean for 3 weeks now. Instead of Skelton Light I drink Virgin Cardinalitas.

My behavior has changed. Its like Im a new person now. Point is, I put my family ahead of my Skelton Light. I have learned to accept the things I cannot change (how bad the O Line and Run Game are). After every dark night is a brighter day. Nature has a way of balancing itself. Ok Im done being full of it. My point is, it doesnt matter who starts. We have 2 good QBs. Neither will do better than the other. Why? Cuz the O Line hasnt arrived. But, when the O stalls on a drive, the D stays strong to give them back the ball. The offense comes through for the D on turnovers too. #Teamgame

    and FYI
It just might take Kolb and Skelton both to get through the season because of how bad the O Line is. I've seen their interviews and they acknowledged that fact.

the pass has to be looked at in context
as was pointed out to me: the CB covering Fitz pushed Larry out of bounds on that pass causing the INT - the push or what I thought was PI was not PI. The judgement comes from Rule 8, section 4, Article 7 which says: "If the quarterback leaves the pocket area with the ball in his possession, the restrictions on illegal contact and an illegal cut block both end, but the restriction on defensive holding remains in effect. Anyone see how Kolb might not have known that rule and not expected the defender to shove larry as he did. Kudos to that CB for knowing his rulebook.

    Kolb is Rocky
It seems Kolb needs his richard knocked in the dirt, like Rocky did. Just as Rocky had no chance to beat the Champ. He trained and believed. His coach believed. His staff believed. No one else did. When he stepped into the ring, he got beat. But he got back up. Then he got beat again. And he got back up. As this continued Rocky realized what he needed to do,FIGHT!

    Con't Kolb is Rocky
Kolb is doing the same. He's fighting. When the push turns to shove, he's fighting. You saw it after the two INTs against TEN. You saw it against SEA. And in the 4th Q against MIA. Just as Rocky lost in the end, Kolb will not lead this team and win the SB. But just as Rocky, Kolb is earning the hearts of AZ with punch.

Your probably a huge cards fan, ditto. But, forget about Skelton..This is Kevin Kolb's team now. Accept it, embrace it. He looked like freaking Eli manning sunday throwing for 300+ and 2td's. (I would have said Brady but Brady dont throw INT's)

    His endzone pick...
Wasn't even his worst of the game. He had Fitz in single coverage on his other interception and decided to throw it to literally the ONLY place it could have been intercepted. Fitz beat his man down the field, had nothing but grass between him and the endzone, and Kolb throws it short. If that wasn't bad enough, at least 5 of the 8 sacks were on his shoulders, not those of the offensive line. He's bad. Let's not mince words. He's bad.
