And the hits just keep on coming for Herb Sendek and Arizona State basketball.

Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports is reporting that leading scorer and senior-to-be Trent Lockett will be the latest Sun Devil to transfer out of the program.

The reason? Lockett wants to explore playing closer to home in Minnesota to be near his ailing mother.

Lockett was the Sun Devils' leading scorer this past season, averaging 13 points per game. Lockett also led the Sun Devils in scoring as a sophomore in 2010-11.

This marks the third player to transfer from ASU in the last two weeks, as Chanse Creekmur and Kyle Cain have both announced that they'll continue their collegiate athletic careers elsewhere.

But neither of those transfers has the impact of losing Lockett, a heady and steady player who is undoubtedly the leader of the Sun Devil team.

Lockett is also a student in the Barrett Honors College at ASU, and is on course to graduate in three years, so he could feasibly play immediately after transferring.

    Is this a joke?
There is no way Herb Sendek can keep his job after this. I don't care what the reasons are, 3 players in 2 weeks transfering out? The Sun Devils will be lucky to even field a team next year. Maybe they'll just enter those 2 on 2 tournaments. Ridiculous!

    Pathetic
Just exactly how bad are they going to let ASU athletics (especially basketball) get before they get rid of Love? Were the laughing stock of the NCAA! Not only does she not fire herb but gives him an extension to boot. Ill always be an ASU fan, but you won't see me spending my hard earned money on tickets until the Love era is over. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just Another Dagger
In the heart of real Devil fans. Love has ruined this program and along with her, Herb needs to pack too. I always liked Herb but if you can't keep your best player, that realistically wouldn't start in the ACC, it's time to move on. ASU has become a joke of athletics; I hope the baseball team, with it's pride and history can manage to wade through this pile on manure.

    What's Going On
There has to be something more behind this if another player is leaving ASU. I understand the want to be close to an ailing parent, but I wouldn't be concerned about the program if he was the only one leaving. What's the true cause for all these players leaving in the last 2 years. Is it the coach? AD? Facilities? I don't know but wouldn't mind a former player coming out and telling the truth.

    The picture
So a kid transfers.. so what? It happens all the itme and for various reasons. Look at the picture! This kid is carrying the ball. It is never called. No wonder no one can play defense anymore. I'm back. Transfering isn't a big deal. Not today. Kids don't go to college, they go for pre-nba training and get confused. Glad I'm not a college coach.

    Sendek is just another
Rob Evans! Why do we accept failure at ASU? I am getting tired of this! I can care less about sub-par players leaving, but a coach who cant produce wins is given an extension! Why?????? Sorry Sendek you need to go and I hope Love goes with you!
