Report: Trent Lockett transferring from ASU

Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports is reporting that leading scorer and senior-to-be Trent Lockett will be the latest Sun Devil to transfer out of the program.
The reason? Lockett wants to explore playing closer to home in Minnesota to be near his ailing mother.
Lockett was the Sun Devils' leading scorer this past season, averaging 13 points per game. Lockett also led the Sun Devils in scoring as a sophomore in 2010-11.
This marks the third player to transfer from ASU in the last two weeks, as Chanse Creekmur and Kyle Cain have both announced that they'll continue their collegiate athletic careers elsewhere.
But neither of those transfers has the impact of losing Lockett, a heady and steady player who is undoubtedly the leader of the Sun Devil team.
Lockett is also a student in the Barrett Honors College at ASU, and is on course to graduate in three years, so he could feasibly play immediately after transferring.
