The winning streak is over.
It took three overtimes and nearly three hours of basketball for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks to end the Arizona State Sun Devils’ 14-game home winning streak, but end it they did with an 84-81 victory.
The Sun Devils trailed for most of the game, by as much as 14, but scratched and clawed their way back in it late in the second half, forcing overtime. Unfortunately for the Devils, they could not find the winning basket in extra time.
ASU had leads in the various overtimes, but was unable to have one when the clock hit triple zeros. The loss drops the Sun Devils to 6-5.
Too many turnovers and too little production from the starters led ASU down the path of their first home defeat of the season.
