New Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley meets with team for first time

Thursday, Arizona State hired Bobby Hurley as its new men’s basketball head coach.

By Friday morning, Hurley was sporting the maroon and gold, flashing the pitchfork hand signal and meeting with returning members of the squad.

And it didn’t take long for the 43-year-old to lay out some lofty goals, either.

A little while later, Hurley signed his five-year deal along with vice president for athletics Ray Anderson and chief of staff Rocky Harris.

Hurley was introduced to the media in a press conference Friday morning, and afterward stopped for some photos.

He also went to chat with some of ASU’s donors.
