The Arizona Wildcats overcame the long odds and landed the highly
regarded transfer star they coveted.
Former Xavier guard Mark Lyons tweeted he committed to the Wildcats Sunday.
I excited to be a wildcat!!!!!!

Lyons reportedly had interest in Kentucky and Kansas, but ultimately chose to reunite with head coach Sean Miller, who recruited him to Xavier in 2008.
The 6-1, 188-pound standout is expected to be able to play immediately, since he is planning to enroll at Arizona as a graduate student. He should give the Wildcats a huge boost at the point guard position next season.
Lyons was a third team All-Atlantic-10 selection for Xavier last season and averaged 15.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
