Shadow Mountain's Reid Maurice named Fulton Homes Character Counts Monthly Winner
Maurice, 17, said he trains year-round for baseball, working to continually improve as an athlete.
The right fielder spent his past summer with his 21-year-old brother, Ethan, as the two rode their bicycles across the country to raise money for Phoenix Children's Hospital.
The two brothers pedaled from Virginia to Oregon and raised $96,000 for the hospital. Maurice said they chose PCH because Ethan was treated there four years prior for a life-threatening illness.
