It's settled.

Kevin Kolb will be traded, and there's a very, very, VERY strong chance it will be to the Arizona Cardinals.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter on NFL Live, it is "100 percent [Kolb's] traded."

At this point we all figured that to be a given. The Eagles understand Kolb will leave as a free agent following the 2011 season and are hoping to get something in return instead of losing him for nothing.

What Schefter said next, though, is really intriguing. He didn't say Kolb is probably heading to Arizona or that there's a good chance of that happening. No, he was a little more convinced.

"Arizona is the first, second, and third most likely landing spot," he said.

Doesn't exactly leave much room for doubt, does it?

Even the most ardent anti-Kolb Cardinals fan, at this point, has probably realized the Eagle is going to be the team's next quarterback.

However, though it may have seemed like just bringing Kolb to the Cardinals was a difficult task, in reality the real challenge lies ahead.

Will Kolb prove to be the guy the Cardinals think and hope he is, or will he continue to be the inconsistent player he was in Philadelphia?

Looks like Arizona will find out shortly.

I wouldn't give them any starter for him tho...
Worst case scenario, and I mean WORST CASE SCENARIO, they should give them a 1st rd draft pk. Best case, they give him a 2nd. Nothing more than a 1st though. If they want DRC (A PRO BOWL CB) for Kolb (A 2ND RD DRAFT PK) I leave the table and move on. There's too many options at QB. Especially for AZ because we have Fitz and there will be a free agent QB who will want to come here. They shouldnt give DRC for a 2nd rd draft pick.

    Absurdity
They are putting their offense behind a QB that has done very little, thrown too many pics and doesn't have that killer instinct as of yet. This how depleted the QB supply is right now. The Cards are better off finding an old "Bernie Kosar" and playing the season out. Kolb makes zero to little sense. I don't think this is a SB team, so why waste what you have on something that doesn't fit the role. Be patient and good things will come. I think some guy named Kurt Warner proved that.

    Carson Palmer??
Why isn't there any talk about this guy? Surely Brown would trade him in the last year of his contract rather than stand on some kind of absurd principals. I think he would be a much better choice and could probably happen at far less a price.

    Orton vote here..
...I can't lie, I like Orton over Kolb. Any QB that can make Brandon Lloyd into a probowl wide out can get the rock to Fitzgerald and move the chains. 6-300 yards games last year. 20 TD's with 9 INT's. In 4 games last year he had over a 100 QB rating, notably against Seattle, Baltimore, KC, and St. Louis.

    orton?? palmer?? really
everybody keeps saying , go for Orton , or go for Palmer , but correct me if im wrong but both of these guys couldnt lead their team to a winning season , orton won how many games?? 1 or 2 ?? how many games did carson palmer win?? 4!! so why should the Cardinals consider a pair of Qb's that had a record worst then our own , i mean sure they put up good stats , but our coach wants to win , kevin kolb has my vote
