    So Gambo thinks
that based on Justin Upton's "unlimited potential" he has earned the right to play right field. I admit he will probably be a good player, but right now he would benefit more from playing in the minors. He makes a lot of errors out in the field and you can't go by "potential" alone in the batter's box! I admit Eric needs to start performing, but maybe playing in more games (since his injury) will help. Gambo's very negative view and criticism of Eric (as if he is the only player on the team)does not improve the team one bit!

    Upton could really.......
...use some AAA at bats. He has enormous potential but may have been brought up too early. I say send the kid back to AAA and let him get his feet wet. He will be a solid player soon. Then again, no one else on the DBax can hit either. This team is offensively in trouble way to early in the season. A pitcher or a coach is going to call the offense out soon if this poor offense continues.

    Pay for a hitter!
It's time to pay for a hitter! Trying to develop all of these young "superstars in the making" has led to a whole lot of... well, the 2nd worst AVG in the Majors. Develop 10 guys and you might get 2 who contribute (let's call them Mark Reynolds and Conor Jackson). Upton will contribute in 2010 or 2011. In the meantime, sign a hitter who has done it before. When is the last time the D-Backs did that (and please don't say Eric Byrnes or Tony Clark)?
