    Favre is all about himself, much in the same way Roger Clemens was. It just took awhile for people to realize it.

    I think the NFL should implement a 1 or 2 year "ban" on athletes that retire. After playing so many seasons you get the urge and desire to play again when the season comes around again, just like football fans get the excitedness to watch their teams again when the season comes back around. I think a 1 or 2 year hiatus for athletes to relax and think would help alot.

    entertainment fields can handle the public attention that goes with the job and keep their feet on the ground - some can't - Favre falls into the worst category of those who can't - some can enjoy retirement, some can't let go of the public adulation - Favre always was a grandstander and he gets withdrawal symptoms when he's out of the public eye.
