    Give Hime the Cash
Amare has improved every year he has been in the league. While he is no defensive stopper, his D has improved. I would like to see his off the ball rotation improve. He is not a natural rebounder. He does rely too much on raw, athletic skill to rebound. This can be corrected. He is only 27 years old. His best days are ahead. He has unparalleled offensive skills. Did you see Pau Gasol try to guard him one on one? He is devastating with Nash. No 2 man game in the league can compare. More rebounds and more assists for this summer's improvement and a nice new max contact!

    I am with AMMA
I am aligned with team AMMA. The ONLY thing consistent with Amare' is his INCONSISTENCY. His lack of effort is astounding and were it not for Steve Nash getting him the ball with miracle passes, he would be, a 10 and 5 player...at best. Amare' did give "Max Effort" for three whole months while trying to get his "Max Contract". I seriously doubt he will put forth the effort he did for the final three months of this season. I say NO to a "Max Contract. Can anyone say Eric Byrnes? Do we want to pay Amare' to be millions of dollars to play "Pick-Up" games?

Suns need to learn from Cardinals (1 of 2)
The Suns cannot simply give in to fan pressure and sign Amare to an overinflated contract just to save face with the fanbase (a la Eric Byrnes). They need to take a slice out of what the Cardinals' approach to free agents has been. They need to do their own honest assessment and come to a figure that they are comfortable paying Amare for his services. If Amare turns it down and some other team wants to foolishly overpay for him, then so be it (although my guess is that Amare is in for a rude awakening (much the way Orlando Hudson was).

Suns need to learn from Cardinals (2 of 2)
The Cardinals have learned that ovepaying for a player that does not produce inflicts a greater amount of damage (and for a longer period of time) to a franchise than does having to rebuild and replenish using the new salary space. The Suns must do the same thing. I'm not saying that I don't want Amare, or that he is undeserving of a lot of money, I just think that the Suns must operate from a position of power.

    Great story..
I like how evidence was able to be presented during closing remarks but the objection couldn't be heard. Nice. I have a problem with the cases being presented against Amare in the comments, though. Amare a 10, 5 guy? Wow! He averaged 20.6 & 9 in 2003 with Marbury. That's preposterous. Comparing Amare to Orlando Hudson or GASP! Eric Byrnes? The talent level isn't even close. That's stretching further than, to go old school, Oliver Miller's waistband. There are many arguments against giving Amare a max deal, see above, please do better.

    KOBE
KOBE IS A MAX PLAYER. KING JAMES IS NOT EVEN DESERVING OF A MAX CONTRACT. Without Nash where does Amar'e land? Give Amar'e 1 yr ext, and Nash take a $10 mil pay cut to share the wealth with the 2nd unit and bring on Dirk. Dirk come over with a $10 mil pay cut, and let's win a championship.
