    I obviously agree with Gambo on most of what he is laying out. Everyone needs to take blame but the Blame Game is easy---What to do is the critical part of the equation; keeping both Brynes & Hinch actually makes no sense; get solid baseball minds together who have played the game plus have insight into running a ball game & most important selecting the Right Talent--- both Brynes & Hinch do not deserve another crack at this important aspect or another year or two will be lost

    Although I agree with a lot of what you say, a few issue’s I disagree. I always hear "its ultimately the players responsibility .. blah blah blah". While this is true in a lot of cases, if it were totally true. If it were, you wouldn't need coaching. Coaching is extremely important, ESPECIALLY when you have such a young team like we do. I think our coaching (or lack of) as really hurt us. We need to start there.

    Yes, there needs to be changes. I was listening to MLB 175 on XM the other day and they were talking about the Baltimore situation. I agree with them, when you have a YOUNG team, you NEED a manager who demands respect and has good strong leadership. Hinch is just the opposite! The Baltimore situation is a lot like the Dbacks. Lots of YOUNG players wondering aimlessly on the field. No emotion, NO CHANGE in batting, (no ideas at the plate), pitching... Where has this pitching staff gone since the Melvin coaching staff left? Worst in BASEBALL?

I was saying this same thing last year except you can insert Bomel's name in there for Hinch. What do they do they go hire a Bomel clone! I'm so tired of watching AJ mishandle the bullpen(for what it has been worth). They have 3 or 4 dependable guys now down there and we just gave away that Detroit series thanks to AJ's bumbling around

    So Gambo, your assessment is that everyone is to blame....and then you offer no solutions other than fire them all next year? Unlike you, I have no faith that Josh Byrnes can fix ths mess. He created it, but I'm supposed to believe he will fix it? Remember that when Melvin left, so too did Bryan Price. He is now with the Reds, and the improvement in their staff is obvious. Also, Jack Howell has done nothing to suggest he can eliminate the offensive strikeouts. Fire Byrnes, Hinch, Howell, and Stottlemyre today and things will begin to improve tomorrow.

    One thing that you said Gambo that I agree with and that is to bring in Bobby Valentine. AZ sports teams always try to go cheap on the coaching but look what Whisenhunt has done for the Cards. Pay Bobby V. and let him hire his own staff and step back and watch. The players have talent and they need someone to show them how to play. AJ is a new manager trying to coach a young team and it is not working. Don't get rid of the players till they really get a chance to be coached right. This is why when players leave they get better somewhere else. BETTER COACHING NOT TRADING AWAY THE PLAYERS!!!
