He has to trade Nash for what basically amounts to crap (a contender who has bad draft picks and/or a "young midlevel player" of which the team has like 5) as a courtesy to Nash? The only way the Suns should even consider a trade for Nash is if the offer is actually good. You say "Honestly it's not that important" regarding the package the team receives for Nash - and that could not be more wrong. As with most trades, what the Suns receive in return is absolutely vital to the deal...obviously. Why would they make a deal that doesn't put them in a better position for the future?
