    to clarify...
    I don't disagree with any of your points, but that doesn't change my opinion about Nash in OKC.They could win the whole thing making the point moot, but having a pg who doesn't get the league's leading scorer the ball is no bueno. When you need a bucket, the ball needs to be in the best player's hands.In OKC, Durant is the best player, but there are times when Westbrook essentially freezes him out. Game 7 of the WC semis was a great example of how great Durant and OKC can be when Westbrook isn't shooting but passing the ball. Your column was great though, I just wanted to clarify.

    A great PG...
    A great PG makes players around him better, but in the case when the team has the best player on the court (Duncan in his prime, MJ, Kobe (spit), that need is negated, and all that's asked from the PG is to handle the ball and not turn it over. OKC is Durant, Westbrook and a bunch of role players. All those role players would be better with the benefit of playing with Nash.

    Enough Green!
    Mr. Green has been a proponent for the trading of Nash, so as he puts it "the Suns can start rebuilding" Green is entitled to his opinion and he in a round about way has expressed it in numerous columns. I understand his view but I certainly don't agree. No team is going to offer up more than a role player for Nash. Not exactly a way to start rebuilding. Nash makes his team competitive and puts people in the seats. Not a bad thing in this economy. Adam how about giving it a rest.

    @azgbayfan
    I want to thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts. As for those thoughts... Yes, I am in the 'it's OK to trade Nash' camp, provided of course they get something of value. Like you, though, I suspect the Suns won't. I would like for them to be open to the idea of moving him if the right offer came along. However, this column was not meant to be about Nash so much as the idea of the pass-first point guard not being necessary.

    Give Me a Break!
    I love Nash but his offense in particular and the Suns offense in general have not won us anything. Yes, it has gotten us to the playoffs but it can't get us over the hump. It is going to be defense that leads us to a championship. Generally, most teams that win the title are ranked rather high in defensive categories. I an tired of the run and gun.
