    They added Dunn in desperation to match the roided out Manny Ramirez that LA got. Dunn was the only available power threat worthy that year in a trade scenario that occured AFTER the deadline. Rauch was bad. If the Dbacks get rid of Joe Saunders or Zach Duke and bring in Erik Bedard. They can also go for a middle relief and rumor has it Adams from the Padres could be a candidate. If the Brew Crew starts slumping there's also the possibility Prince Fielder could be on the market. Think about him at #4 behind Upton.

    I agree, the Dbacks do not need to make short term moves for this team. Towers will look for depth, not "wow" factor moves this season. This team is fun, improving, and has upside....but mortgaging 2012 and beyond for an early post season exit or late regular season fizz is not worth it. Just because the team has money to spend perhaps, doesn't mean the MUST. Stay the course. (remember Car-Go?)
