Point wasn't if Kershaw did it on purpose or not. Parra had it coming and MLB didn't need to do what they did. Both teams knew it. Gibson said, "we're all held accountable for our actions."
"Baseball players police and take care of things themselves between the lines."
... No problems with how baseball players handle things.
Parra didnt think that the pitch was intentional or he would has said something or even charged the mound! That was a garbage call and I'm a Dbcaks fan. Kershaw got himself ejected because he opened his mouth the night before. If he would have never said anything and then plunked Parra, this would not even be an issue. Randy Johnson used to do this all the time! I was there one time when benches cleared and everybody did a meet and greet and the game went on! Umps need to stop throwing guys out for playing the game. This is not over, there is one more series left!!
I wouldn't have blamed Kershaw for throwing at Parra but with that said, I don't blame Parra for grandstanding the night before. Pitchers should never throw at the head. In a perfect world they shouldn't throw at a player at all but that is part of the game. Many of these pitchers show that during the game if they have the control of the strike zone that they normally will have, yes a few may get away on them and the batters know when that happens but the pitching control of Kershaw was spot on, so when he let go the shot at Parra he knew exactly where that ball would go.
Some are jumping on Parra, others back the dodger, which ya never do because he's a Dodger but what about what started this? The Dodgers pitcher originally I believe, wasn't throwing at Parra but he sould have gotten that look from him anyways for being so horrible to let a pitch like that get away. He's a pro and he can't control how he throws? Kershaw had a big mouth and paid the price for it. Case closed.
