A whole article on the future of the Suns and you didn't mention the Lakers once! Congratulations.
You could have made the Sarver part shorter by just saying, "You lost the fans, you lost the players, you lost the city. No one wants you here. Time to sell." The odds of him redeeming himself are nil. How many jerks have you known that stopped being jerks because someone told them they were a jerk?
I am sure you are too young to remember Bill Cartwright as a player. The dude was soft & did not bang with the bigs and that is exactly what we are seeing from Lopez & Gortat. You talk about Nash's turnovers in the 4th but how many times do we hear the announcers in the 4th saying "Gortat was not looking for that pass"? How can you not be looking?
But I think there has to be a little more to this than that. They are in a holding pattern trying to ride the nash train as long as possible because they know there will be even more irrelevant as an organization. Cartwright is not that old "cooker". Doug is older than me and I remember him playing. but you just have to say it, continue with mediocrity, or rebuild. Make a decision and stick to it. So far, they are choosing mediocrity.
You are too young to remember his years in New York. He was a baller. Can he coach? I don't know. Even if he can't, Lopez and Gortat are bums. I completely agree with Doug. We're dealing with a stupid organization because there's a stupid guy running it. This roster must be depleted. The Nash thing is so sad. They could have gotten so much more a few years ago compared to what teams are offering now. Draft better players. Markieff has been nice. Other than that, all of them have been bums. And no, the Almighty Grant Hill would not change anything. He's still Grant Hill.
..Suns fans will ever see a winner again, is if they quit supporting the team altoghether. Then Sarver will have to either sell or move the team. If he sells we have some chance that a decent, billionaire will buy the team and get it moving again. If he moves it out of town, we have a chance that another team will be added down the road. Both of those options are lousy, but they still beat having that greedy nitwit as 'our owner.'
