due to recent reports, he wants to get this done in the next week. Thats within the cards window of signing him and cutting that worthless expense of Kolb for DRC and a 2nd. It was a mistake like I said last year, but we learn from it and have a better opportunity standing before us. You go guns blazing in trying to get him. If not, you stick with the play to be avg football team with Kolb.
If Peyton had already crossed off the Cardinals as ANY possibility he wouldn't want to get this free agency circus shut down shortly (within the same time as the Cards have to decide on Kolb. Instead Peyton wants to get this over and done with. Even though he has PLENTY of time to allow the other teams to court him and thus insure a bigger amount for his services. IF Bidwell wants Peyton then he better be prepared to pay even bigger $$ to protect his investment by aquiring suitable protection for Peyton's blind side as well as shoring up the entire front line.
I'm always amazed at how "fans" like Paul H will take the "time" to respond without taking the "time" to know the facts. Manning wants a deal done before the Cards have to make a decision on Kolb. This works in their favor. Next time, do a little homework before commenting.
In fairness, Paul H made his time comment just before we definitely knew that PM's timeline was to pick a team by free agency start date of 3/13. With Kolb's bonus decision due by 3/17, the Cardinals have exactly enough time to make it all happen, assuming PM wants to come here. Speaking of timeline, the Cards better get to the Superbowl in the next couple of years, because looks like the Rams with all the picks they got from Redskins may be building the next dynasty like the Cowboys did in the early 90's with all those picks they got for Hershel Walker.
