Adam, It is kind of a catch 22 but if you think about it they could not attract any quality free agents in the offseason if the team has shown an unwillingness to fight and scratch to win. Who wants to play for a bunch of tankers? I wouldn't. Is there really such a big difference in the upcoming draft between the 10-14 or 16-18 spots? Like you said it is a very deep draft class.
Give me a break and save the heart for kindergarden and when was a millionaire atlthelete awarded a contract because he lacked Talent and got millions because of heart!!!! PLEASE
Telfair, Redd, Brown, Morris, Lopez as a bunch is pretty good - you have athleticism, shooting, ball handling, and rebounding. What more could you want? I would even argue they overall are actually pretty good defenders. Thats 4 former first rounders (all but redd and brown drafted in the top 15 i believe) and a second rounder that was an all star. The suns problem really lies in their starters. As much as I love Frye, Hill, and Dudley, there is not another winning team any of them would be in the starting lineup for. We have a ton of depth, and no superstar talent in the starting lineup.
..is hazy at best. Their two best players will be collecting social security in a couple of years. They have won too many games this year to nail down a decent pick in the draft. And, the free agent class this year is pretty slim...not that any top players would come to a small market anyway. Despite the recent wins, the future is still looking pretty bleak for Suns fans.
