By my count Kubel cost the D'backs at least 3 runs during the SF series. He wiffed on a flair near the foul line that skipped off his glove. Then he got beat deep on a fly ball that went over his head. Parra makes those plays.
Gibby for the moves he made last year, so it's hard to understand why they even went after Kubel. In the three games I observed, Opening Day and television, he seemed slow and out of place. Maybe Parra rubs people the wrong way but all I know is he seems to be a heck of a ball player; always hustling and emotionally fired up. You can't teach that.
Guyinaz,
were u easter egg hunting during Parra's dissmal fielding in Sundays game? "Parra makes those plays"???
Now, I know he wont continue those kind of errors for the whole season, but that was awful. I like having some extra power in the line up & think that this guy is right about Tower adding depth. Plus as he says having a solid 4th outfielder is HUGE
And Kubel cost 3 runs?!?! Think your count is off but either way Parra cost 2 in ONE game on Sunday!!
Go AZ! all the way 2 the WS!!!
is one injury in the outfield, then we don't need to have this discussion any further. We are one of the deepest teams in baseball, and come September that's going to be the difference in making the playoffs or not.
