Good message Doug. Not only do these stories need to be heard, but thanks for offering proper perspective. We already live in an age where civility is declining due to impersonal modes of interaction. It began with the television generation eliminating knowledge of manners. Now the digital generations sees little need for so much as human decency much of the time.

    Good article
It's one thing to criticize, everyone is entitled to their opinion, after all. But attacking people, especially kids, crosses the line. The same people who are upset that Combs earned a scholarship without daddy's help, would be mad if he just coasted and made an athletic team soley because of who his dad is (which probably would have happened). The kid can't win.

    Further
If people think that the scholarship money that Combs received should have gone to a candidate with less financial support, then petition the NCAA or the individual schools to impose household income restrictions on the receipients of athletic scholarships. Until then, Combs is doing things the right way.
