If what you are right about and what I see in this defense can truly come to fruition, I think we have every reason to make Ray Horton the highest paid defensive coordinator in the nfl. He is worth as much as or more than some of the starting players. A couple mil should do. We have every incentive to ask our best coaches to stay, what example does a successful coach leaving set for the players? If this defense is top five by mid season, we should sign him up for three-four years.
The beauty of the Defense in those last 9 games last season was they gave Skelton and Kolb plenty of margin for error. You would hope with a full training cammp that either Kolb or Skelton can have moderate success running the Offense. They've got to figure out how to score TOUCHDOWNS on those opening drives to take some pressure of the Defense.
