Patrick Peterson is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and we’re pretty sure he relishes in that role.
But, we also know Peterson has an affinity for the QB position, or at least fancies himself a capable passer.
Peterson has for the last couple of seasons joined the Cardinals’ quarterbacks in their weekly challenge, where they take turns trying to toss a football into a trash can until one player cannot.
The losing thrower then has to dress up in an…ehem…interesting costume, either for the plane ride to a road game or during warmups prior to a home game.
To his credit Peterson has not always lost, though we’ll never forget his donning of a T-Rex outfit before the Cardinals’ Monday Night Football matchup with the New York Jets.
That misstep did not deter him, it would appear, as even though Peterson is not part of the passing event in the Pro Bowl’s Skills Challenge, he still wanted to get some tosses in. And you know what? He’s still got it.
He's not in the #ProBowlSkills passing event…
But gave it a try anyway!We 👀 you, @P2! pic.twitter.com/syh3fZ2E2v

It looks like Peterson truly wanted in on the real competition.

It doesn’t seem as though the cornerback will get his wish and compete with some of the game’s best QBs, but if nothing else, his passing prowess has not come as a shock to those who have seen him fire spirals all over the field before.
@NFL Trust me I've seen it at my event… it's really not fair!!!

For what it’s worth, Peterson has completed one pass in the NFL, a 17-yard attempt to Kerry Taylor in a 2013 game against the Detroit Lions.
