Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell, cornerback Patrick Peterson and special teamer Justin Bethel have all been named to the 2015 Pro Bowl team, the NFL announced Tuesday. Corner Antonio Cromartie and receiver Larry Fitzgerald are alternates.

This is Campbell’s first-ever Pro Bowl nod. He was named an alternate in 2013, and is the first Arizona defensive end to be selected to the Pro Bowl since Bertrand Berry in 2004.

Campbell’s 7.0 sacks this season are the second-highest on the team and his 43.5 career sacks rank sixth on Arizona’s franchise list.

His team-leading 54 tackles this season makes 2014 his sixth consecutive season with at least 50 tackles and six sacks, an extension of his own franchise record. He has started 13 games this season (he was out for two with a knee injury). Campbell also ranks second on the team with 10 tackles-for-loss and 17 quarterback pressures.

Bethel joins radio analyst Ron Wolfley (1986-89) as the only players in franchise history to earn multiple Pro Bowl selections as a special teams player.

He leads the Cardinals for the third straight year in special teams tackles with 18.

Peterson becomes just the 11th player in Cardinals history (and fifth defensive player) to be chosen to four consecutive Pro Bowls. It is his third-straight selection as a cornerback, as he was selected as a kick returner as a rookie in 2011. Peterson joins Hall of Famers Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith as the only players in NFL history to be chosen to four Pro Bowls before their 25th birthday.

He has three picks (one for a touchdown return), 44 tackles, eight passes defensed and one sack this season.

The 2015 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 6:00 p.m. at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
