Kurt Warner could be a Hall of Famer in his first year of eligibility.
The former quarterback (1998-2009) was listed as a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2015 class alongside Orlando Pace and Junior Seau Thursday (who are also in their first year of eligibility).
Warner, a two-time MVP, first led the Rams to their lone Super Bowl championship. Upon arriving in Arizona to play for the Cardinals in 2005, Warner led the Redbirds to their only Super Bowl appearance in 2008 after throwing for 4,583 yards and 30 touchdowns.
The final Hall of Fame decisions will be discussed and voted on by the selection committee, and announced Jan. 31 in Phoenix (the day before the Super Bowl).
